The 30-Night Sleep Trial
Every Mafé bed comes with a 30-night sleep trial. Put it in the room and let your dog decide.
Dogs don't fall in love on day one. Most claim the Haven inside a week; some take longer. The trial exists so your dog gets the time to choose it — not so you have to guess before you buy.
Available to customers in the contiguous 48 states.
The window
Your 30 nights begin the day your bed is delivered. You have until night 30 to email us and start a return.
Preorders work the same way — the clock starts on delivery, not on the day you ordered.
What condition it comes back in
Your dog is meant to sleep on it. Fur, a washed cover, and the ordinary marks of a bed that has been slept on are all expected, and none of them affect your refund.
To qualify for a refund the bed needs to come back:
- Clean — vacuumed of loose fur, cover washed if it needs it
- Structurally sound — frame, joinery and hardware undamaged
- Free of contaminants — no soiling, odour, mould or pest exposure
- Complete — mattress, cover, all hardware, and the original packaging
We are not looking for a bed that appears untouched. A bed returned in showroom condition would mean your dog never got the chance to try it.
What is not covered
- Chew damage, or damage from misuse rather than ordinary sleeping
- Beds returned soiled, odorous or contaminated. For health and safety these cannot be resold and cannot be refunded
- Returns started after night 30
- Addresses outside the contiguous 48 states
How to start a return
Email info@mafepets.com with your order number. We reply with instructions, usually the same day. Every return is authorised by our team before you send anything back, so please get in touch first rather than shipping it to us.
Keep the original packaging. It is required for the return.
The return fee and shipping
You do not arrange or pay for shipping up front. We email you a prepaid return label.
A flat $50 return fee per bed is deducted from your refund. That covers return freight and inspection on a 28 lb piece of furniture. There is nothing to pay out of pocket and nothing for you to organise.
Return labels expire 10 days after we issue them. If the box has not been dropped off in that window the return is voided and the label will not be reissued. Please book the drop-off when the label arrives.
If your bed arrived damaged, defective or incorrect, none of this applies — the label is on us and you are refunded in full.
Your refund
Once your bed reaches our warehouse we email to confirm, inspect it, and process your refund within 7–10 business days of inspection, less the $50 return fee.
Refunds go back to the original payment method.
Damaged or wrong on arrival
Note it when you sign for delivery, then email photos to info@mafepets.com the same day. We replace it or refund it in full, at our cost.
Cancellations
Cancel before your order ships and you receive a full refund with nothing deducted — no label, no fee. Once an order has shipped, the 30-night sleep trial above applies.
Questions before you buy
If you are unsure which bed suits your dog or your room, ask before you order. Getting the fit right the first time is better for everyone.
