Thirty nights to let them claim it
Dogs don't fall in love on day one. Most claim the Haven inside a week — some take a little longer. The trial exists so your dog gets to decide, not so you have to guess before you buy.
- Night one Put it where they already sleep. Same corner, better furniture.
- The first week Most dogs have claimed it by now. A blanket that already smells like home speeds it up.
- Night thirty Still not theirs? Send it back. No argument, no explaining yourself.
Thirty days from delivery, contiguous 48 states. Your dog is meant to sleep on it — lightly used is fine. It comes back clean and undamaged, with the original packaging and hardware. A $50 return fee applies. Return labels expire 10 days after they are issued. Refunds are processed 7–10 business days after inspection.
Questions, answered
How does the 30-night sleep trial work?
Your dog sleeps on the bed for thirty nights. You can return it any time within 30 days of the date your order ships.
Your dog may have slept on it and you may have washed the cover — that is the whole point of a trial, and it will not affect your refund. Return shipping is your responsibility, but you do not have to arrange it — we email you a prepaid label and simply deduct its cost from your refund. If the bed arrived damaged, defective or incorrect, the label is on us. Most dogs claim their bed within the first week.
Is every bed really washable and waterproof?
Yes, and it is the one thing that never changes across the range. Every Mafé bed has a sealed waterproof liner wrapped around the foam core and an outer cover that zips off and machine washes cold. Because the waterproofing lives around the foam rather than in the cover, washing the cover never reduces the protection — you can do it as often as you like.
Which bed is right for my dog and my room?
The Haven fits dogs up to 55 lbs on a 35" × 26" sleep surface and suits a warm, traditional room. The Modern Day Bed is 35.4" × 27.6" and low to the floor, made for spare, modern spaces. The Circle is 29.5" across, for small and medium dogs who curl up, and is built to sit in the middle of a room. Measure your dog nose to tail-base while lying down — under 33" is a comfortable fit on the two rectangular beds.
How fast will my bed arrive?
All three beds are in stock and ready to ship. Delivery is a flat $7 by FedEx anywhere in the continental US, typically in 3 to 5 business days, with tracking sent as soon as your bed leaves our warehouse.
What happens when there's an accident?
Nothing reaches the foam. The waterproof liner sits between the cover and the core, so you zip the cover off, machine wash it cold, and it comes out like new. This is the single most common reason dog beds get thrown away, and it is designed out of every bed we make.
Is there assembly?
The Haven's frame arrives in two pieces and takes about five minutes with the included hardware. The Modern Day Bed and the Circle arrive ready to use, with no assembly at all.
What does the ten-year warranty cover?
The Haven's structural frame — joints, wood, and construction — for a full decade. If the frame fails under normal use, we repair or replace it. Your order record is your warranty, so there is nothing to register. The Modern Day Bed and the Circle come with a two-year warranty.
My dog chews. Will it survive?
The hardwood frame stands up to normal wear, but the warranty covers structural failure, not chewing damage, and chewing damage is not covered by the sleep trial either. For determined chewers, we recommend a supervised introduction.
